Social Anxiety (Part 2)

After months holed up in my small room all alone,
I decided to go out to the grocery store

I stepped out into the street
And though our eyes wouldn’t meet
I could feel every pair on me
Judging these lone bones wearing meat

I finally looked up, scanned the area, and noticed a familiar face
And though it was far, made a 180
Got out of that place!

Picked up my pace
Oh yes it was a race
To see which one would give up first,
My mind, heart, lungs, or feet, whichever was the worst!
